Apple A Day Supply is a teacher-run education recruitment agency specialising in placing teachers, TAs, support staff and senior leaders in schools across Wiltshire, BANES and the surrounding areas.
Apple A Day offer teaching, nursery assistants, support staff and senior leadership roles, including SENDCo positions.

Supply teaching involves providing temporary cover for absent teachers. Assignments can range from a single day (ad-hoc cover) to several weeks or even a full academic year (long-term). This type of work is typically arranged through supply agencies.
You can begin by completing our online registration form, having an informal chat with a member of our team, and attending an interview. We also carry out document checks and DBS checks.

Pay varies depending on the type of placement.

Ad-hoc bookings: For ad-hoc day-to-day supply, teachers and TAs are paid a set daily rate for each day worked.

Long-term roles: These are paid in line with the Teachers’ Pay Scale, ranging from £32,916 upwards annually, pro-rated for the period worked. Your consultant will confirm your MP rate and discuss this with the school before you agree to a contract. To work out your day rate, take your annual salary and divide it by 195 (the number of school days).

Apple A Day Supply is an independent, teacher-led agency. Our consultants have direct experience within the education sector and understand the demands schools face on a daily basis. Within our team, we have a Secondary English Teacher, two Primary School Teachers, and a Primary Teacher with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) experience.

We are audited annually by APSCo Compliance+ to provide reassurance that we consistently uphold Safer Recruitment in Education standards and the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines. In addition, two members of our team are DSL-trained, further strengthening our commitment to safeguarding.

We provide daily, short-term, long-term, and permanent cover for primary schools, secondary schools, and nurseries across Wiltshire, Bath, Somerset, and the surrounding areas. Our network includes qualified teachers, experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistants skilled in supporting a wide range of SEND needs, nursery assistants and a strong pool of Senior Leaders available to support schools on either an interim or permanent basis.

Safeguarding is our top priority. Apple a Day Supply is APSCo Compliance+ accredited, exceeding statutory safeguarding standards. All teaching and non-teaching staff undergo thorough checks, including a face-to-face interview, references, qualifications, right to work, overseas police checks (if needed), Prevent and safeguarding training, and enhanced DBS certificates. We are audited annually to ensure we meet the highest standards, so you can be confident that every member of staff we place is safe, qualified, and fully vetted.

Our pricing varies depending on your requirements and reflects our commitment to quality and the value we deliver. We are highly selective in the teachers and support staff we employ, ensuring they are fairly compensated, often above local market rates. In addition, we provide ongoing training and support so that the staff you receive are fully equipped to deliver the best possible experience for pupils.

You can request teacher or support staff cover by phone or email. For urgent cover, it’s best to call us.

Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 6:45am to 6pm, and Sundays from 4pm to 8pm during term time. During school holidays our office is open 10am – 4pm. Outside of these hours, you can send an email, and we’ll respond as soon as the office opens.
