Part Time Year 1 Teacher

A welcoming primary school in South East Somerset is looking for a confident Year 1 Teacher to join them after half term, working 2–3 days per week until the end of the academic year.

This is a flexible role, with the school happy to agree working days that suit the right person.

You’ll be teaching a Year 1 class within a two-form entry school that values a nurturing and respectful environment. Planning and marking are part of the role, so this would suit someone who is happy to take full ownership of their teaching days

Role Overview

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching within the primary age range
• Secure knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum, including core subjects across KS1
• Confident practitioner with excellent behaviour management skills
• Experience supporting students with SEND in a primary context
• A flexible, adaptable approach with the ability to think on your feet and respond to the unexpected
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
