Having been an English teacher in a local secondary school for the past twelve years, I have recently joined Apple A Day as a recruitment consultant. My role is focused on expanding the number of secondary schools and teachers that we work with and I hope, with my background in teaching, to provide a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable approach to the recruitment process.

Year 4 Class Teacher (Term 5 & 6)

Required for a nurturing and high achieving independent prep school based in North Wiltshire. Educating students from the ages of 2 - 13, the school believes that learning should come from a blend of traditional educational values, and innovative and outstanding pastoral care. The school prides itself on its family feel - the community being a happy and welcoming one.


About the role:

  • Starting 21st April until 9th July'25
  • Monday - Friday; 8am - 4pm
  • Experienced teacher required to teach a class of 16 Year 4 students, mainly core subjects + humanities (70% class contact time)
  • No requirement to teach Music, French, PE and Art (specialist tuition for these subjects)

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or ENIC (was NARRIC) and right to work (overseas teachers only)
  • Have at least 2 years' experience in a similar key stage
  • Possess a valid DBS on the update service (or we can process one for you)
  • Be a reflective, empathetic and engaging classroom practitioner with the desire to make a real difference to pupil’s lives
  • Have high expectations of every pupil
