Class Teacher (KS2)

Salisbury Contract

I have recently relocated to the Southwest having worked for 25 years (15 as a Pastoral Deputy Headteacher) in schools across Hertfordshire and the Home Counties. I join Apple A Day as part of their expanding team of recruitment consultants, in addition to being a member of their newly formed School Development Team (a specialist team of former school leaders offering tailored support to schools and staff). This background gives me the advantage of having first-hand experience of the current challenges facing schools, particularly around staff development, pedagogy, curriculum design and implementation, and pupil behaviour and safeguarding.I also work as an education consultant for a national charity, leading their work in schools to raise awareness around the issues criminal child exploitation, gang awareness and grooming and County Lines. I am also a spoken at national conferences on these issues, as well as leading staff development and training. My work within this field has included collaboration with the DFE, regional Crime Commissioners, local authorities, and other organisations within education and social care.
